World First - TRAM On Terex Demag Crane

It’s a First!! Standfast Corporation in conjunction with Terex Demag, Boom Logistics and QMW Industries have designed and installed TRAM to the boom of a 160 tonne Terex Demag Mobile Crane.

Boom Logistics management gave the prime directive to provide the safest possible system available in the market for rigger and maintenance staff to access the crane boom. Other important considerations were ease of use, cost effectiveness and reliability. TRAM gives the operator a movable handhold along the high risk work platform of the crane boom and also restrains the operator when he/she is performing maintenance tasks at the reel end of the boom.

Unlike static lines, TRAM does not require annual re-certification by the manufacturer, thus eliminating on-going costs as well as operational issues for access to your crane fleet.TRAM is suitable for installation on any of the following cranes:

  • Mobile cranes from 100 tonne to 800 tonne
  • Crawler cranes
  • Tower Cranes
  • Off-Road cranes
