Barnacle is a lightweight personal retractable safety device engineered to defy the corrosive and invasive elements of the marine, mining and construction environments. Barnacle is designed to provide fall restraint and fall arrest without the need for in-lanyard energy absorbers, which increase the likelihood of injury during fall arrest.
Barnacle's range of mounting options allow it to be fixed in a variety of positions, including overhead, either temporarily or permanently. While most safety devices have just one direction of pull, exposing the worker to entanglement and restricting their movement, Barnacle will change direction as the worker does, providing the ideal combination of mobility, stability and restraint.
As the only marine-grade safety system in the world, Barnacle is ideal for use in commercial fishing, off-shore oil and gas rigs, work boats, marine construction work, commercial and private yachting, and in merchant and military fleets to prevent man-overboard events and falls on deck.
